On May 9, Lane proposed to me! He met me at the airport May 4 when I flew in from Israel, which was a complete surprise because he told me he was coming on May 10. We had a fabulous couple of days together, then went down to Mexico with my parents. I kind of knew he was going to propose sometime while we were down there, but it was still so fun. He wanted to take a walk on the beach, and when we got to a certain spot up on the sand, "Ashley, will you marry me? Lane" was spelled out in seashells and put in a heart. Then Lane got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes of course, and he gave me the most gorgeous ring ever! We had dinner on the beach as the sun was setting and it was perfect. Mark your calendars for August 8, cuz we're getting married!
